EPA Compliance InformationAntifreeze: All weather coolant is toxic to humans and animals and must not mix with the ground water system. Our equipment allows us to recycle and reuse the antifreeze, otherwise it is stored in special containers until it is hauled away to a commercial disposal plant. Oil: Oil drained from vehicles is burned in an EPA approved waste oil heater. Oil Filters: So that the oil can not have any chance to contaminate the land fills or water supplies, the filters are drained and crushed. The oil is used as above and the filter is hauled to a recycling plant. Batteries: Old batteries are picked up by a special carrier and delivered to a reclaimer so that they can be recycled. The battery acid, lead plates, other internal parts and plastic casing are recycled and used in new batteries. Approximately 99.8% of your old battery is recycled. Tires: Used tires are stored on-site then taken by a licensed hauler to a storage location or recycling center. Since tires are one of the most challenging waste disposal problems many research efforts are being applied to find uses for old tires. Freon & Substitutes: The gas used in your vehicle's air conditioning system is harmful if it leaks into the atmosphere because it contains CFCs which destroys the ozone layer. Special equipment must be used when handling these gases so that they do not leak into the atmosphere. Also, special training and certifications are required to perform air conditioning services. Other materials & Processes: The following require special handling to protect the environment.
